Wilian Manchay Espinoza is the owner of two hectares of land in the village of La Palma in the district of Chirinos. La Palma is one of the best quality areas of Chirinos, due to its high altitude and micro-climate, Wilian’s farm is close to the village centre and sits at around 1900 MASL.
Wilian is a key member of the community in La Palma and has been influential in helping promote farmer training and quality improvement. Many of the producers in the village aren’t members of cooperatives or associations and so require help improving their quality and finding markets for their coffee beyond intermediaries.
