We are excited to bring back Eliomar Lopez for the second year in a row. Last year, we expanded our offerings from Costa Rica and are very excited to bring Eliomar into the fold of our Direct Trade relationships.
We wanted to highlight a different flavor profile, so we looked to our friend Ricardo Perez at the Helsar Mill located in the West Valley, a region we have never featured before. Ricardo pointed us to Eliomar Lopez, and the rest will go down in history.
Eliomar Lopez grows Caturra & Catuai coffee trees and then delivers his coffee cherries to Ricardo Perez for processing. Eliomar and Ricardo have decided to use a white honey process, leaving a very light level of mucilage on the bean during the drying process of the coffee which gives this coffee a nice boost of sweetness.
